Chinese Immersion Summer Camp

We are delighted to announce that working with the Legacy Academy and Sunshine Daycamp we will offer 3 one-week in June and July. Chinese Immersion classes.  SCV Chinese School students will receive a Special Credit of $15 per week towards their Fall semester Chinese class tuition.  Please register at Legacy Academy and Sunshine Daycamp.

This Unique Camp is designed to give children ages 5 to 16 a unique opportunity to have fun learning or improving in the Chinese language. Both beginners and advanced speakers of Chinese are welcome. Students are grouped according to both age and language proficiency.  Students participate in activities integrating language, math, science and social studies, centering on the weekly theme.

The Chinese Immersion Hour - daily first session is taught in Chinese. This session uses the Chinese language as the teaching tool, surrounding hence "immersing" students in the second language. Early immersion students are more successful in listening and reading proficiency than partial and late immersion students.  Parents will be amazed how much students can learn in just three weeks.
